The sheep grazing these hills produced the finest wool in Europe and the fortunes that were made were lavished not only the impressive “wool” churches, but also the mellow stone manor houses that make this one of the loveliest areas of England.
Clapton Manor is primarily a family home and we reserve the right to cancel a booking at any time in the event of the owner’s personal circumstances deeming it necessary. In the event of such a cancellation the deposit will be refunded in full.
We would respectfully alert our guests to the fact that we are a bed and breakfast and thus the house will be closed to our guests between 11.00am and 4.30 unless by prior special arrangement.
If you are flying in from abroad and would like to arrive very early in the morning in order to sleep, we can generally make this possible. It would, however, mean reserving and paying in full for the night before in order to ensure that the room is ready and vacant for you.
We invariably have guests back to back and there has to be enough time in the day for them to have breakfast and depart as well as cleaning the rooms hence this requirement if you are flying in early and would like to sleep or rest.
We prefer a minimum of two nights but please enquire as single nights are often available.
No dogs please we have too many of our own.
