This
Tudor Grade II listed manor house sits on top of its hill near Bourton-on-the-Water. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village of Clapton boasts the
smallest church in Gloucestershire dating from the twelfth century. St. James's
Church
with churchyard gates fashioned from old horseshoes.
Clapton Manor is
a sixteenth century Cotswold stone house surrounded on three sides
by its gardens. The interior, with its three-foot thick stone walls, old oak beams, mullioned windows, large
inglenook fireplaces and antique furniture is both informal and comfortable.
