Our Guest Rooms
We have two rooms, each with an ensuite bathroom.
The Garden Room has a king size (5ft x 6ft 3in) double bed and bathroom with bath and upright shower. It looks over the garden one way and over the valley from the bathroom.
The Windrush Room, which looks over the village and The Windrush Valley, has a super king bed (6ft x 6ft 3in) This can also be a twin bedded room and bathroom with bath and hand shower.
The beds have electric blankets, lambs wool mattress toppers (wooly side up for the winter and cooler cotton for the summer!) duck and goose down duvets (if you hate duvets please let us know in advance and we can make up the beds with sheets and blankets). The beds all have two pillows, a firmer one and a softer one (I also have hypo-allergenic pillows so, again, please let me know in advance if you would like these).
The rooms have tea trays with biscuits and chocolates. There are hairdryers, big towels and lovely bathroom goodies.
We pride ourselves on our breakfast using local ingredients wherever possible including homemade bread, and fruit compotes. We have our own hens who produce delicious eggs and our sausages are made from Gloucester Old Spot pigs from the farm next door. This breed used to be called Orchard Pigs as they ate the apples that fell from the trees. The black spots on their backs were said to be the bruises of where the apples fell.
There is a wonderful marmalade competition called World's Original Marmalade Festival and last year I won a silver for my marmalade. Gold eludes me!
'The World's Original Marmalade Awards' and the bread is made by James.
