From the A429 (Fosse Way)
Coming north from Bath, Cirencester and Northleach, turn right signed to Sherborne 5 and Clapton 2. Setting you milometer at 0 continue for 0.5 miles to a T-junction and bear right to Clapton. At 1.9 miles take the turning to the left signed to Clapton on the Hill. At 2.9 miles you will be outside our house.

Coming south from Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon on the A429, you pass Bourton-on-the-Water and turn left at the sign to Clapton and Sherborne.

From the A40
From London and Oxford, follow the A40 towards Cheltenham. Set your milometer to 0 at Burford and at 6.4 miles turn right to Clapton and Sherborne. Continue along this road and at 9.1 miles turn right at the sign to Clapton-on-the-Hill. 

From the west (Cheltenham and Gloucester), pass Northleach on the bypass and continue for about two miles, turn left at sign to Sherborne 5 and Clapton 2 and then proceed as above.

Once in the village continue down the main road until you reach the village green (this is really a triangular bit of grass with a horse chestnut tree growing in the middle of it and a letter box in one corner) whereupon you bear right, keeping this to your left, past a house called The Granary and past a house called The Shippon. You will then be outside Clapton Manor, a three-storey house covered in ivy with two yew trees flanking the old front door that looks down the hill. Beyond the green front door there are two gateposts, one covered in clematis, and inside these is our parking area. Please park your car there. The front door is through the wrought iron gate into the garden.
